Governor Rick Snyder of Michigan delivered the annual State of the State address on January 20 to a joint session of the Michigan Senate and House. Deputy Consul General Liu Jun attended the session at the Governor's invitation and had a brief and friendly conversation with Governor Rick Snyder and Lt. Governor Brian Calley during a private reception before the speech. 

        In recent years, economic and trade cooperation between China and the State of Michigan has maintained a good momentum. China has become the third largest trade partner of Michigan. Chinese investment in Michigan has been growing rapidly and there are nearly 10,000 Chinese students studying in Michigan.
