In a recent visit to the state of Minnesota, Deputy Consul General Liu Jun had meetings respectively with Mayor Ardell F. Brede of Rochester and Mayor Jerry Koch of Coon Rapids and exchanged views on how to further strengthen friendly cooperation between the two cities and China.

In the meantime, Liu also paid a visit to Mayo Clinic, where he was welcomed by Research Administration Chair Leon Clark, Students Affairs Dean Bruce F. Horazdovsky and Recruiter Katrina Giese in the Mayo Graduate School. Liu and the hosts held talks on research and educational cooperation between Mayo Clinic and China. Liu also spent time visting some Chinese faculty members, visiting scholars and students in the lab.

Consul Xu Shuhong and Consul Yang Tianxin accompanied Mr. Liu for the visit.
