On October 18, Consul General Hong Lei met with Nettie Lasko, Government and Community Coordinator of Illinois Attorney General.

Ms. Lasko introduced the work of Illinois Attorney General's Office in protecting consumers, advocating for the vulnerable groups, safeguarding the community and other fields. She said that their office stands ready to strengthen cooperation with the Consulate General and make positive contributions to the prosperity and development of the Chinese community in Illinois.

Consul General Hong Lei thanked Lasko and the Attorney General's Office for their efforts in defending the rights and interests of overseas Chinese and Chinese students. He hopes that the two sides would further strengthen communication and cooperation and jointly safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of local Chinese community.
