The 134th China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair) will be held from October 15 to November 4, 2023 in Guangzhou. To ensure participants of the Fair travel to China timely, the Chinese Consulate General in Chicago will provide appointment-free visa application arrangements to participants as of today. The specifics are as follows:

1. Applicants participating the Canton Fair should refer to  Notice on the Requirements for Chinese Visa Application (2023/03/16), prepare the application materials following the “B. General Documents” list. Then, please select any one of the Chinese Embassy or Consulates-General in the U.S. and finish the “China Online Visa Application (COVA)”. Applicants or agents can submit physical application documents to the selected Chinese Embassy or Consulate-General during its working hours without appointment when presenting the physical invitation letter of the Canton Fair.

2. The participant to the Canton Fair may apply Chinese visa out of country of nationality or place of residence.

3. For some applications, the staff of the Embassy or Consulate-General may require additional documents. Please follow the on-site instructions.
