To follow the protocol of local authorities' directions to prevent the spread of COVID-19, and as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our visitors, the Passport and Visa office of the Chinese Consulate General in Chicago will be temporarily closed from April 6, 2020.

All applicants are advised to postpone planned document applications during the COVID-19 outbreak. In case of emergency, please send email to chinavisachicago@gmail.com 

We will continue to closely monitor the situation and be ready to take appropriate action. The above changes will remain in effect until further notice.
