On June 14, Consul General Wang Baodong attended the 2025 AMEC Congressional Global Champions Gala in Chicago and delivered a speech. Over 1,000 people, including U.S. Congressman Danny K. Davis, local officials and multi-ethnic community leaders, were present at the event.

Consul General Wang commended the Chinese community for their efforts in preserving the fine traditional Chinese culture and promoting friendship between the Chinese and American peoples. He gave an overview of the latest phone call between the two heads of state and the progress made in bilateral economic and trade consultations, and encouraged people from all walks of life in the U.S. to continue support for the improvement and development of China-U.S. relations.

Consul General Wang, together with Congressman Davis, presented awards to the Chinese-American and youth awardees.
