Consul General Wang Baodong Attended Award Ceremony for "China in My Eyes" Essay and Short Video Competition for Chinese American Youth in Consular District
On September 20, the Chinese Consulate General in Chicago held an awards ceremony for "China in My Eyes" essay and short video competition for Chinese American youth in the consular district. Consul General Wang Baodong delivered a speech and presented awards to the winning students. Deputy Consul General Zhang Yiqi, along with teachers, students, parents from relevant Chinese schools in the consular district, and representatives from the Chinese School Association in the United States, totaling over 60 people, attended the event.

In his speech, Consul General Wang introduced the new journey of Chinese path to modernization and current China-U.S. relations. He praised the Chinese American youth in the consular district for participating in the “Root-Seeking Journey in China”Summer Camps, which has enhanced their understanding of their ancestral country's economic and social development and China's fine traditional culture. He hoped that the students would continue to serve as "people-to-people little ambassadors" to promote friendly exchanges between Chinese and American youth.

During the exchange session, teachers, representatives of students and parents vividly recounted their experiences and feelings about taking part in the “Root-Seeking Journey in China”Summer Camps, and expressed their willingness to continue working hard to promote friendship between the Chinese and American people.
